There are many reasons. Here are some, to name a few.
MyListing communities are primarily run as Facebook Groups because Facebook is a free platform. I understand because I once ran the Club’s community as a Facebook Group. While Facebook Groups are free, they are constrained. Have you ever tried to find past information? It’s a nightmare, and sometimes, it’s not even possible.
I’ve invested time and money in the Club Community to get around the shortcomings of Facebook Groups.
Misinformation
As with many communities, ask a question and get many different answers. While some people have the best intentions, they pass along inaccurate information they heard elsewhere.
Conversely, some people tell flat-out lies for personal gain.
Agendas
While I’m an affiliate for Club Partners, one thing you’ll notice is I try my best not to say something “is the best.” The same cannot be said for some community members who claim everything they recommend is the best this or that.
Some people even go out of their way to talk badly about other companies for their gain.
